Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Bristol .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

With 10 years photography experience across several disciplines, from documentary to portraiture she now works with a wide variety of clients. She has several awards over the years from nature photography competitions, and particularly enjoys using her creative eye to capture beautiful moments in the natural world. Through teaching photography, she loves inspiring others to find their own style and create beautiful images.

    Since I have no experience in photographing auroras, I couldn't see the aurora when I took this photo. I only looked at the camera and the aurora was not obvious. I had to go home and process the photos to see the effect. It felt like I was back in the days of film cameras. I had to develop it after taking the photo. Only then will we know whether it is successful!

    I've only recently moved to Bristol, after 30 years in Oxford, and am deeply inspired by both its beauty and its history. It has been a trading port for a thousand years, and is st its heart a sailor's city: an anchor tattoo of a town. It also has, to me, a unique light and when the sun does deign to appear, the sky is Bristol Blue, which is what I've called this photograph.     so i bought the Pluto trigger and dropper system a few years ago and used it pretty regular over COVID but haven't used it for a while so as it was a rainy Sunday afternoon i thought i would get it set up ,how hard would it be ,well pretty hard getting the setting nailed took nearly all afternoon .So for a change i used cola in the dropper and after a lot of missed hits i got this image .     I was on an island tour of Barbados, and we stopped for lunch at a house serving as a restaurant that had a scenic view. After our lunch we were given less than 15 minutes for looking around and to grab photos. I had seen the boulders and knew I had to have my tripod, so I went to our shuttle grabbed my backpack and tripod. I was going over potential shots in my head.     This Tigress took a long swim to cool off from the soaring afternoon heat exceeding 100 degrees. We waited for more than 2 hours to get our vehicle close enough to have a clear shot of her and her three subadults, resting along the water?s edge nearby.
